Speechie Decor [Linky] Party!

The Dabbling Speechie is hosting a speechie decor linky party! And who doesn't love a party? So, check out my speech room decor below (always a work in progress), then follow the link and check out some decor ideas from other SLP bloggers. Enjoy!

Welcome to my speech room! Walking up to my door this is what you will see...

Once the door is open, you'll see the students work area (directly across from my Promethean Board). My Articulation Ladder is on the wall by the window (It's a freebie in my store, check it out! My students LOVE it), work bins, dry-erase boards, and The Narrative Builder Tool (for my students working on written language).

Sitting down at the student work area, you can either look straight across at the bulletin board (which includes our classroom rules and vowel town charts) and my desk (somewhat clean in this picture). The students can also see any visuals we're working with on the side of the file cabinet. The 1, 2, 3, visuals go with the colored work bins in the picture above. If we use them, I pull them over to the table.

Or you can look to the side to see the Promethean activity for the day, the book shelf (with the books sorted by season and activity), and the clock (loving the minutes on my clock - many of my students struggle reading clocks, so just another visual to help them out).

This is my home away from home. I like to keep it as uncluttered as I can, so I don't have a TON of decor to talk about but this is my space (and thank goodness for all of my cabinets - check out my post about organization here). Pretty simple and ready to work!

Don't forget to check out The Dabbling Speechie for other SLP posts!

    1. Thanks! I'm just not a crafty person, so I stick with simple. :) Thanks for hosting. I really enjoy linking-up.
